Custom build · December 2021–January 2022
Sunday
Soundwave.
A 28-photo record of the matte-mustard build: every component staged on the bench, the first complete assembly, repeated fit checks, drivetrain and headtube details, one small-part finish operation, and the final configuration.
Inventory
Before the first bolt,
document the starting point.
The frame carton identifies a Soundwave V3 in Matte Mustard. The remaining components were laid out together so the whole build could be checked before assembly began.
First assembly
From a bench of parts
to one complete bike.
The first indoor set records the initial complete assembly from both sides and from the front before the bike moved outside.
Fit checks
Move it, look again,
adjust, repeat.
Outdoor profiles and tighter front views create a useful baseline for bar, wheel, chain, and stance adjustments as the configuration develops.
Component details
The build changes
at close range.
A replacement sprocket, the installed drivetrain, and a centered front view record details that disappear in the full-bike profiles.
Refinement
One small part,
finished to disappear.
A small metal part was masked, sprayed black in a cardboard booth, and photographed after finishing. The surrounding bike views document the configuration immediately before that operation.
Final configuration
Matte mustard,
black components.
The last three views close the record with a centered front, an indoor side profile, and the brick-wall catalog image used in the main BMX collection.
